WebTrends Helps Spearhead First Web Analytics Industry Association as Founding Corporate Member

Greg Drew to Provide Guidance as Founding Board Member and Chairman of International Committee

WebTrends, the web analytics market share leader and a business unit of NetIQ (NTIQ), today announced it is a Founding Corporate Member of the first Web Analytics Association (WAA). Greg Drew, general manager of WebTrends, will help guide the WAA as a member of the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the International Committee. Brent Hieggelke, vice president of Marketing of WebTrends, will co-chair the Marketing Committee. Nick Sharp, vice president of EMEA Sales and Marketing, will co-chair the International Committee.

The WAA is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to unite and foster the interests of professionals involved in measuring the success of their online business initiatives. Members have the opportunity to address key industry issues through committees, such as Advocacy, Education, International, Research, Standards and Technology, in order to help develop and shape industry standards and best practices.

As a Board Member, Drew will help determine the vision, mission, and values of the WAA and will collaborate with other Board Members to set its strategic direction and gain an understanding of the needs of WAA members. In addition, Drew will act as Chairman of the International Committee, where he'll focus on facilitating each WAA committee's expansion into regional markets and promoting international involvement in all facets of web analytics to help ensure the industry has a global voice.
