NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries Earn IBM ServerProven Status
Solutions lauded for eliminating security risks and maintaining business continuity
Today, at the COMMON Spring 2005 IT Education Conference & Expo, NetIQ Corp. (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of integrated systems and security management solutions, announced that NetIQ® Security Solutions for iSeries have earned the IBM ServerProven designation.
With ServerProven solutions, customers can select applications running on IBM systems in a real world environment. Customers can also lower the total solution cost of their IT infrastructure with ServerProven solutions by accessing cost-saving offers for companion IBM products and services. Solutions bearing the ServerProven for IBM eServer designation have been enabled, installed, and run on IBM eServer systems by at least one end-user customer.
In addition, the ServerProven status allows for customers to receive significant rebates from IBM and enables Value Added Resellers to pass the rebates onto their customers, which at times, can cover the cost of the third-party tool. The rebates vary by country.

Although the iSeries (AS/400) platform is considered to be one of the safest and most reliable servers on the market today, many iSeries installations are not managed to the level required to minimize security risks to an acceptable level while meeting compliance regulations.
