Press Release

PORTLAND, Ore.

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) today opened its newest permanent exhibit, Innovation Station, which WebTrends, the web analytics market share leader and a business unit of NetIQ Corporation (NASDAQ: NTIQ), and several other Oregon organizations helped make possible through charitable contributions.

Located in the museum's historic Turbine building, Innovation Station is part of the museum's $4.2 million renovation project. The exhibit is the fruition of several years of research aided by input from sponsors' and visitors' surveys, and encompasses more than 20 technology-themed exhibits, plus a new and expanded Vernier Technology Lab and Inventor's Ball Room-an interactive exhibit that gets visitors involved in the process of innovation.

"We felt that OMSI's Innovation Station was an excellent opportunity to contribute to the local community and to help foster an inventive environment in Oregon," said Greg Drew, general manager of the WebTrends business unit of NetIQ. "We're proud to have played a role in bringing Innovation Station to life, and in supporting OMSI's educational mission."

Located in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon since its founding as eg Software in 1993, WebTrends employs more than 275 people. The organization has an active Community Involvement Committee, planning volunteer efforts for employees to get involved with local charitable events and organizations, including OMSI. In the past year, the committee has organized corporate sponsorships, donations and volunteer groups for several successful programs including Schoolhouse Supplies' Tools for Schools program, the Start Making a Reader Today (SMART) program, Oregon Food Bank Drive, Friends of Trees and the Oregon Public Broadcasting Pledge Drive.
