SAN JOSE, Calif.
WebTrends, the web analytics market share leader and a business unit of NetIQ Corporation (NASDAQ: NTIQ), today announced worldwide cities and dates for its 2004 WebTrends® Fall Seminar Series, sponsored by media partner CMO magazine. In its fourth year of providing global educational seminars, WebTrends has educated more than 10,000 people to-date with year-to-year attendance growing at more than 12%. 1,000 people are expected to attend the current Fall Seminar Series, based on current registrations in each city and register-to-attend conversion rates across 14 cities worldwide, including Montreal, QC; Columbus, OH; Minneapolis, MN; Detroit, MI; Dallas, TX; Vancouver, B.C.; Boston, MA; Long Island, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Hong Kong, China; Beijing, China; and Shanghai, China.
"The WebTrends Seminar was a great use of my time. I was impressed by the actionable information that I could take back to my workplace and initiate immediately," said Linda Calvin, E-communications Leader for the Americas, Dow AgroSciences. "Because of the best practices I learned at the seminar, I feel I have a better fundamental understanding of how I can make analysis-driven decisions that help us maximize our marketing return on investment and achieve better results."
The WebTrends Seminar Series includes free, half-day educational events, designed to help business professionals gain a clear understanding of how web analytics can help them make smarter business decisions and accelerate marketing results, from measuring online campaign performance, to optimizing site conversion, to determining a customer's lifetime value. The seminar provides education on the fundamentals and best practices in web analytics, including an overview of the category and current trends, technical issues to consider-such as data collection methods-and an overview of core business metrics and how organizations can apply them to the unique requirements of their organizations. WebTrends Seminars also lend an opportunity to learn from the strategies and real-world examples of how companies are leveraging web analytics to achieve better results. "Given that users have long felt the most difficult aspect of analytics is taking action to garner results, we feel it's imperative to provide not only complete products and services that adapt to a business' needs, but provide education on how to use this information to accelerate business results," said Greg Drew, senior vice president and general manager of the WebTrends business unit of NetIQ. "We're pleased to be able to offer these educational seminars around the world-to WebTrends and non-WebTrends users alike-to help everyone achieve their online goals."
