NetIQ Expands Linux Management Solution to Include Support for Oracle RDBMS and Oracle Application Server on Red Hat Linux
New Modules Extend NetIQ's Comprehensive Web Infrastructure Management Solution
At the Enterprise Linux Forum, NetIQ Corp. (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of Systems & Security Management and Web Analytics solutions, today announced two new Linux-based modules for NetIQ® AppManager® Suite. The AppManager® for Oracle RDBMS and AppManager® for Oracle Application Server modules are now available for Red Hat Linux environments. This further expands NetIQ's comprehensive solution for managing Linux-based Web infrastructures.
AppManager is the only comprehensive systems management solution that provides monitoring, diagnostics and resolution, reporting and analysis, and automation for mission-critical Windows, Linux and UNIX distributed systems. NetIQ first introduced Linux management capabilities in February 2002 with AppManager for Red Hat Linux. The AppManager® Web Console provides a unified Web interface to centrally manage Linux, UNIX and Windows platforms and applications from Netscape or Internet Explorer. Linux administrators who manage a distributed environment can monitor systems and application performance from any workstation.

AppManager for Linux deployments nearly doubled as NetIQ Linux- and UNIX-based customer base grew by 1,000 percent during the past year.

NetIQ will demonstrate its Linux management solutions in booth 200 at Enterprise Linux Forum. Jim McQuaid, a product manager in the Systems Management Group at NetIQ, will present "Managing and Securing Linux in the Enterprise" on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Eastern time at the Washington Conference Center in Washington, D.C.
