NetIQ Ships New Version of AppAnalyzer; Enhanced Reporting and Analysis Solution Includes Message Content Management
AppAnalyzer 2.0 Provides Improved Performance and Scalability and More Efficient Administration and Management
SAN JOSE, Calif.
NetIQ Corp. (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of e-business infrastructure management and intelligence solutions, today announced the release of AppAnalyzer™ for Exchange version 2.0, a web-based reporting and analysis solution that helps messaging administrators and IT managers monitor and understand the usage of Microsoft Exchange Server.
AppAnalyzer 2.0 enables Exchange administrators to secure their systems against potentially destructive and inappropriate content with the ability to search for, report on, and even delete or forward messages containing specified keywords and attachment file names or extensions. New features delivered in version 2.0 include: reporting on Exchange 2000 storage and routing groups; summary level traffic reporting, enhanced performance and scalability; decreased storage requirements, and increased scheduling and administration functionality. In addition, AppAnalyzer not only continues to support Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (OLAP), producing fast and flexible usage reports, but also now leverages the Microsoft .NET Framework, which provides improved usability, delivers high performance data access, and demonstrates that AppAnalyzer continues to leverage the most appropriate technologies from Microsoft.
To make better decisions about resources and thereby minimize costs, Exchange administrators and IT managers are tasked with analyzing Exchange usage and proactively managing the hardware capacity of their environments. AppAnalyzer helps manage message content and provides comprehensive data about Exchange Servers located across an enterprise, including message traffic analysis, delivery times and content notification; historical and current mailbox and public folder storage data; and chargeback information. It delivers useful information that can be used at all levels of the organization: from IT managers who are responsible for keeping the systems up and running to the business managers who want to understand more about their e-mail-based customer contact. AppAnalyzer complements NetIQ® AppManager® software, which provides troubleshooting, diagnosis and drill-down reporting on the health and performance of Exchange servers.

AppAnalyzer is licensed per mailbox. The cost is $600 for a 100-user mailbox pack. In addition, there is a $2,500 charge for the WebAdmin console for up to five users.
