NetIQ Delivers Netcool Ready Solution

Integrated Solution Streamlines Network Management, Consolidates System and Application Monitoring

NetIQ Corp. (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of e-business infrastructure management and intelligence solutions and Micromuse (Nasdaq: MUSE), the leading provider of service and business assurance software, today announced that NetIQ's AppManager Connector, the Extended Management Pack Connector and the VoIP Manager Connector are certified as Netcool® Ready™ solutions. As a member of the Micromuse Alliance Program™, NetIQ has developed three NetIQ Connectors to integrate with Micromuse's flagship Netcool/OMNIbus™ application. The companies also announced today that Micromuse will resell the AppManager Connector, Extended Management Pack Connector and VOIP Manager Connector.

The Extended Management Pack Connector (XMP Connector) for the Netcool®/OMNIbus™ application extends the management capabilities of Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 (MOM 2000) and enables MOM 2000 environments to integrate with the Netcool/OMNIbus application. The XMP Connector for the Netcool suite automatically translates and forwards MOM 2000 alert information to the Netcool/OMNIbus console. This enables organizations using the Netcool/OMNIbus application to manage MOM 2000 and NetIQ's XMP solution with Netcool-collected events though a single pane of glass.

The AppManager Connector and VOIP Manager Connector for the Netcool/OMNIbus application enables IT professionals to manage AppManager and VOIP Manager alerts from the Netcool/OMNIbus console. The result is a seamless integration of AppManager's and VOIP Manager's monitoring capabilities with the Netcool/OMNIbus solution, providing large enterprises with centralized management and event correlation for complex, heterogeneous environments.

The NetIQ Extended Management Pack (XMP) Connector for Netcool/OMNIbus is now available. Pricing begins at $20,000. The NetIQ AppManager Connector for Netcool/OMNIbus is now available. Pricing begins at $15,000. The VoIP Connector for Netcool/OMNIbus is scheduled to be available during Q1 2002.
