NetIQ Introduces New WebTrends Product Lineup; Updates Brand

Next-Generation Web Analytics Solutions Targeted to Enterprise Organizations, Small/Medium Businesses, and Service Providers

SAN JOSE, Calif.

NetIQ Corporation (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of e-business infrastructure management and intelligence solutions, today announced a new WebTrends product lineup that provides more targeted product offerings for web analytics customers. The new product lineup will focus on four distinct product categories, based not only on the type of organization—from small/medium businesses to enterprises and service providers—but also based on the complexity of an organization's web site and its reporting needs.

As a first step of the product realignment, NetIQ announced today the availability of WebTrends Reporting Center (formerly called Enterprise Reporting Server—see separate release for details). NetIQ will unveil the remainder of its next generation of WebTrends solutions under their new names over the next several months.

In addition, as part of the product realignment, the look and feel of the WebTrends brand has been updated with a new logo and a new user interface for many products. The web site has also been revamped to provide web site visitors with faster and easier navigation to the information they need.

The four WebTrends product categories are:

  • WebTrends Analysis Series will include the next generation of WebTrends Log Analyzer, Professional Suite and Enterprise Suite. With this series, NetIQ will continue to offer the classic WebTrends analysis tools designed for small and medium businesses.
  • WebTrends Reporting Center, formerly named Enterprise Reporting Server, is available today. The product provides advanced reporting of web activity including marketing and shopping cart analysis to multiple decision-makers in any organization, and includes three new editions—eBusiness Edition, Enterprise Edition and Service Provider Edition?that are designed to deliver the features and functionality required for customers that range from mid-market businesses to very large enterprises and service providers.
  • WebTrends Visitor Relationship Management (VRM) Solutions will be the new name for CommerceTrends, WebTrends' most advanced analytics solution. The product line facilitates integration of web visitor data with other organizational data sources, and shares that data with applications that allow enterprises to fuel marketing and sales action to build relationships with their visitors and customers and improve revenue performance.
  • WebTrends Live is a service for businesses that prefer the convenience of a hosted web analytics service. NetIQ will continue to offer three editions for personal, e-business and enterprise needs.

As previously announced, WebTrends' Security Analyzer and Firewall Suite are now integrated and key components of NetIQ's enterprise security management solution.
