NetIQ Announces New Windows Administration Suite
Combines Award-winning Directory Management Product with File Administration, Exchange Administration and New Configuration Reporting Product
At the Gartner Symposium, NetIQ Corporation (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of e-business infrastructure management and intelligence solutions, today announced availability of the NetIQ Administration Suite providing a comprehensive solution for Windows, Exchange and file administration and reporting.
The NetIQ Administration Suite provides secure distributed administration and powerful configuration reporting capabilities for Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, Active Directory, Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000, NTFS and other Windows-based resources. The suite automates administrative tasks, lowers costs and increases security enabling IT managers and administrators to concentrate on higher-value activities.

The Administration Suite is an integrated set of administration tools that allows managers to delegate and distribute administration of users and groups, computers, mailboxes, files and other Windows-based resources. The Administration Suite includes the following products:
- Directory and Resource Administrator automatically and securely applies policies to manage mixed Windows NT 4, Windows 2000/Active Directory environments. The product also helps you successfully design best practices for Windows environment management.
- Exchange Administrator provides easy, single-point Exchange mailbox management across your Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000 enterprise.
- File and Storage Administrator supplies a powerful file security management and reporting solution across hundreds or thousands of servers containing millions of files.
- Configuration Assessor, a new addition to the Administration Suite, is a configuration assessment and reporting tool that enables IT managers to assess their environment, track system changes over time and identify security weaknesses.
