NetIQ and Siemens Business Services Announce Remote Service Provider-RSP-Agreement and a New Service Offering Built on NetIQ's Windows 2000 Migration Products

NetIQ Corporation (Nasdaq: NTIQ) and Siemens Business Services, Inc. (SBS) today announced they have increased the breadth and depth of their commitment to enable corporations to easily monitor and manage their IT environment and effectively migrate to Windows 2000. As part of the agreement, SBS will deploy NetIQ's AppManager product at its remote network monitoring centers worldwide. This deployment will initially constitute over 500 AppManager seats. Customers will benefit from higher service levels and faster transactions.

SBS also announced a packaged service offering aimed at customers migrating to Windows 2000. The Windows 2000 Migration service offerings are as follows:

  • Windows NT/ 2000 Systems Performance Assessment—Specific assessment of the monitored Server Infrastructure environment.
  • Windows 2000 Technology Workshop—Provides the customer direction and guidance on how to proceed with their Windows 2000 migration.
  • Windows 2000 Strategic Planning—Assesses the critical business and technology needs relevant to the deployment of the Windows 2000 platform throughout the customer's enterprise.
  • Windows 2000 Desktop Migration—Covers the entire project life cycle in the form of SBS' proven six-step migration methodology.
