Press Release

SAN JOSE, Calif. and Billerica, Mass.

NetIQ Corporation (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of e-business infrastructure management software, and, Getronics, a global information communication and technology company (AMSTERDAM: GTN with U.S. headquarters in Billerica), today announced a partnership to assist customers worldwide in accelerating their adoption of Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000.

Under the terms of the agreement, Getronics and NetIQ will expand their existing relationship to include cooperative marketing, selling, and cross training for their teams and will collaborate on future product and service offerings. Getronics has selected the NetIQ Migration Suite, which consists of Domain Migration Administrator, Migration Assessor, Exchange Migrator, Server Consolidator and NetIQ Netware Migrator, to assist clients in planning, designing, and deploying enterprise-wide Windows 2000, Active Directory and Exchange 2000 migrations.

Getronics migration services are key components of Getronics' NetWorkPlace™ program, which is a comprehensive portfolio of 19 services that organizations rely on for e-business applications and the supporting Information Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure. The NetIQ Migration Suite, combined with Getronics' skilled workforce, help simplify the migration to Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000 and deliver the high availability and reliability that Getronics' customers have come to expect. Getronics utilizes a structured five-phase methodology to effectively migrate medium to large business enterprises from legacy operating and messaging environments to Microsoft's Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000 environments. These phases include: infrastructure inventory; design; pilot; deployment; and monitoring and management.

"Messaging systems based on Exchange 2000 have the power to transform a business through improved information sharing and collaboration," said Chet Webster, Getronics' director of e-Solutions infrastructure. "Therefore, the transition from a legacy platform to a new environment must be carefully planned, deployed and fully supported. The NetIQ migration suite provides our migration experts with tools that ensure a comprehensive and effective migration to a new operating environment. Our expanded relationship with NetIQ assures that we are delivering the best solution to our clients."

"This is a win-win for NetIQ, Getronics and our mutual customers," said Steve Seminario, director of business development at NetIQ. "It brings together NetIQ's world-class Migration Suite with Getronics' outstanding service and support organization. By partnering, we further ensure the smooth migration and support of our mutual customers."

In addition to migration services, Getronics utilizes NetIQ products in its Enterprise Service Center (ESC), which manages and monitors more than 1,000 Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 2000 servers for its client base. In the ESC, Getronics uses NetIQ's products to evaluate and resolve network, server, and application performance and availability issues on its clients' networks.
