Avanade and NetIQ Form Strategic Business Alliance to Deploy and Manage Enterprise Implementations

Avanade to Deliver Comprehensive Migration, Management and Web Analytics Services Based on NetIQ Technology

NetIQ Corporation (Nasdaq: NTIQ), a leading provider of e-business infrastructure management and intelligence solutions, and Avanade Inc., the world's premier technology integrator for Microsoft solutions in the enterprise, today announced a formal alliance to jointly sell and market integrated offerings that reduce the cost and accelerate the implementation of Microsoft Windows 2000 deployments for mid- to large-size organizations.

Under terms of this agreement, Avanade will utilize NetIQ products while providing Microsoft integration services to customers, specifically in the areas of migrating, monitoring and managing the performance of Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000. Avanade will offer services that utilize the CommerceTrends Visitor Relationship Management (VRM) Platform, NetIQ's most advanced analytics solution in the WebTrends brand product line. CommerceTrends facilitates the integration of Web visitor data with other organizational data sources, and shares that data with applications that allow enterprises to fuel marketing and sales action to build relationships with their visitors and customers and improve revenue performance.

In turn, NetIQ will tap Avanade's extensive global resources for engagements that require a full range of technology, e-business infrastructure and implementation services.
