The IDM Delimited Text Driver does a pretty good job at creating CSV export files, but at a cost. The solution described in this article can generate CSV format files using the Null Service Driver, some ECMA scripts and a Job. All these are available using the basic IDM activation. Intrigued?

IDM provides some standard verbs to support upper and lower case string conversion in policy rules, but no support for Title Case string conversions

The ECMA script support provided with IDM v3.5.1 allows the creation of custom scripts to provide a simplified and more elegant solution to Title Case conversion than was previously possible using the standard verbs.

This article explores the use of ECMA scripts to extend the string manipulation that is possible using the standard policy verbs and how to access them from DirXML Script policy rules.
