Situation

How do I manually uninstall the AppManager Agent component?

Resolution

The following steps apply only to AppManager 6.x Windows Agents.

To manually uninstall a complete or partial install of the AppManager Managed Client component:

  1. Remove all NetIQ related files and folders under the install path.
  2. Remove all NetIQ related Registry keys:

    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NetIQ\AppManager
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetIQccm
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetIQmc
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ {5B478A76-6432-4296-9668-50FF58CA343B}
  3. Remove any nqexecd processes from Task Manager.
  4. Remove any AgtInst folders from the Temp directory.
