The Directory and Resource Administrator Web Console creates an object on an Administration server other than the one specified.

symptom

When an Assistant Admin creates a new user, group, or computer account in the Web Console, the new account may be created on  a DRA server other than the one to which the Web Console was connected.  Specifying a different Administration server does not correct this issue.



cause
These symptoms occur because the Web Console stores the Container Path in the cookie.  This information was used during the previous create operation and includes the name of the Directory and Resource Administrator server to which the information was written.  Thus, when attempting to create another account object using the Web Console, the object is created on a Directory and Resource Administrator server other than the currently selected by the Assistant Admin.

fix

Hotfix 26323 corrects this situation, causing DRA to display the Home drive letter as soon as the account is opened in the Web Console.

To install this hotfix, run the DRA66000_Hotfix26323a.exe file on the Administration server.

This issue is exposed only when an Assistant Admin changes the Administration server to which he is connected and only if the Administration servers are in the same domain.
