If you want to install permanent licenses on one or more hosts, make sure the license file that you want to install is located in the following directory on the Utility Console machine:

• Microsoft Windows:

  $install_dir\VSAU\unix\local\license

  Where $install_dir is the Utility Console installation directory.

• Sun Solaris or Linux:

  $install_dir/VSAU/unix/local/license

  Where $install_dir is the Utility Console installation directory.

To update the licenses on remote hosts:

1. Select Licenses | Update Licenses. 
2. The Utility Console retrieves the license files and displays the Update Product License dialog box which lets you select one or more hosts and a license file.
3. Select the hosts and the license file (CTRL+A selects all hosts), and click Update to start the update process.
4. When the process finishes, re-scan the hosts by selecting Hosts | Scan Hosts.
5. Review the hosts in the summary table to make sure the components are updated and running properly.
