Security Analyzer: Product Upgrade

Customers who have purchased a support plan can stay current with the latest features and functionality. Here's how!

  1. Back-up your existing installation - Do not skip this step!
  2. Check for an installed subscription:
    • Click on the help menu from within your product
    • Click "About..."
    • Look for a "Subscription expires in" section. If the expiration date has lapsed, you will need to renew for another year. If there is no "Subscription expires in" section, then a support plan was not installed. Note: If a version update is attempted without an active support plan, the product will be installed as a trial version and will become disabled in 14 days.
    • If a one-year subscription has not been installed, you will be prompted to purchase a one-year support plan upon installation. For further information please call or fill out the contact form to speak to a representative.
  3. After verifying that a support plan is installed, download the trial version of the product.
  4. Run the downloaded file and install it in the same directory. The old version will be automatically detected and upgraded.

* To update from a version older than the last version, please contact our Technical Support Team.

Instructions for upgrading to Security Analyzer

  1. Download the trial version of the product you're upgrading to.
  2. Begin to install the product.
  3. On the Welcome screen, select "Upgrade Current Product". Then select to install into the same directory. (The previously installed application will be automatically detected.)
  4. If you do not already have an Essential or Premium Care support plan, click "Next" to bypass the License dialog box and a "Purchase Upgrade" dialog box will appear.
  5. Click the "Purchase" button that links to our web site where you can purchase a support plan, which includes product version updates for one year.
  6. You will immediately receive the product serial number in an email message. Once again, initiate the installation process, supplying the upgrade license serial number when prompted.
Please Note:
Previous settings will be migrated to the new installation during the upgrade. A user guide and disks for the newly installed upgraded product will be shipped to you.
