AppManager for Lotus Domino
AppManager for Lotus Domino (AppManager for Domino) is one component of NetIQ's AppManager Suite (AppManager), which provides a comprehensive solution for managing, diagnosing and analyzing the performance and availability of distributed Windows-, Linux- and Unix-based systems, applications and server infrastructures.
AppManager for Domino expands AppManager by providing support for your distributed Domino Server environment. In addition to optimizing Domino performance, this module ensures availability through automated event detection and correction.
Key Benefits
- Supplies performance monitoring and reporting. Monitors Domino Server well beyond statistics provided by standard PerfMon counters. AppManager for Domino provides prepackaged performance and Service Level Agreement reports and stores system performance data directly to a SQL Server database, making long-term trend analysis easy.
- Provides proactive event management. Delivers robust fault management by proactively detecting potential problems that can impact Domino availability.
- Allows for easy automation. Lets you easily set up
event-driven actions—such as sending email or pager alerts, generating an SNMP trap to a network manager or running a corrective fix program—to execute automatically when specific events occur. - Decreases costs. Helps you lower support costs by enabling you to view the health and status of your distributed Domino servers from a central location and provides prepackaged business rules, known as Knowledge Scripts, for monitoring your environment.
Management Functions
Here are examples of out-of-the-box management functions provided by AppManager for Domino:
