AppManager Connector for Tivoli Enterprise
NetIQ's AppManager Connector for Tivoli Enterprise provides Tivoli customers with additional Windows NT-based system and application management choices to diagnose and correct application availability problems from within the Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC). With this connector, AppManager events can now be automatically formatted and forwarded to TEC. Likewise, AppManager events that are acknowledged in TEC can be automatically synchronized in AppManager’s central repository and displayed in the AppManager console. In addition, TEC users can initiate AppManager tasks, such as stopping a NetIQ job or deleting an AppManager event.

The NetIQ AppManager Connector for Tivoli Enterprise has been certified by Tivoli as being “Tivoli Ready” and meets the requirements for Premiere-level integration with Tivoli Enterprise.
Highlights of AppManager’s integration with Tivoli Enterprise include:
- AppManager events are translated and forwarded to the Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) via a NetIQ-provided event adapter.
- Acknowledgement of AppManager-specific events within TEC are automatically synchronized in the AppManager repository and reflected in the AppManager Console.
- AppManager tasks, such as stopping a NetIQ job or deleting an AppManager event can be initiated within TEC.
- Tivoli Distributed Monitors for AppManager components, such as the AppManager Management Server and Management Agents, are provided so Tivoli operators can optionally monitor the health of AppManager.
- AppManager can be launched from within TEC.
- AppManager components can be deployed via Tivoli Software Distribution.

- Tivoli Framework 3.2 or higher
- Tivoli Enterprise Console 3.1 or higher
- (optional) Tivoli Distributed Monitoring 3.5 or higher
- (optional) Tivoli Software Distribution 3.1 or higher
