With various solution categories and participation levels, NetIQ's ARP is a flexible authorization program that fits our partners' diverse needs. As a NetIQ authorized partner you will be required to possess a strong, certified, technical and consultative sales and support infrastructure, as well as meet minimum sales volume requirements based on your partner level.
ARP Requirements
Building on our extensive product offerings, the NetIQ Authorized Reseller Program (ARP) provides a flexible authorization program to fit our partners' diverse needs. ARP consists of various solution categories, described below, and participation levels – Premier, Select¹, and Associate. Participation levels are based on an annual volume commitment and vary by solution category (see Program Levels and Benefits for more information).

Product Categories
NetIQ understands the need for a unified approach, while implementing solutions based on your customer's specific needs and budget constraints. The ARP product authorization categories include:
Security, Configuration & Vulnerability Management
NetIQ Security, Configuration & Vulnerability Management Solutions consists of the following products: NetIQ Security Compliance Suite, NetIQ Security Manager and NetIQ Vulnerability Manager. Resellers interested in becoming authorized in the Security, Configuration & Vulnerability Management category must meet the following criteria:
- VAR or systems integrator focusing on security consulting
- Certified Security Expert or have earned Systems Administration Networking and Security Global Information Assurance Certification
- Sell or manage firewalls, vulnerability assessment and integrated decision support (IDS) tools
- Maintain a minimum sales volume
Security Solution for iSeries
Resellers interested in becoming authorized for the iSeries Security products must meet the criteria below:
- Designated NetIQ Product Champion
- Actively involved in the sale of iSeries hardware, solutions and services
- Possess a general knowledge of iSeries security and/or experience with vulnerability assessment
- Maintain a minimum sales volume
Operational Change Control
Operational Change Control solutions are: NetIQ Group Policy Guardian, NetIQ Migration Suite, Secure Password Administration, Security Administration Suite, Directory and Resource Administrator, NetIQ Group Policy Administrator and NetIQ Group Policy Suite. Resellers interested in becoming authorized for the category must meet the following criteria:
- Strong, certified technical and consultative sales and support infrastructure
- Provide systems integration / migration solutions for Windows NT and 2000 environments
- Directory and Windows management
- Active Directory design and implementation services
- Sell and consult on Windows and Active Directory technologies
- Maintain a minimum sales volume
Performance & Availability Management
Consisting of: NetIQ AppManager Suite and Modules, AppManager Analysis Center, AppManager Diagnostic Console, AppManager Performance Profiler resellers interested in becoming authorized in the Performance & Availability Management must meet the following criteria:
- Strong, certified technical and consultative sales and support infrastructure
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSE) on staff
- Provide systems integration / migration solutions for Windows NT and 2000 environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft .NET (SQL and Exchange) environments
- Experienced with performance and availability monitoring
- Maintain a minimum sales volume
VoIP Management
VoIP Management includes: AppManager for VoIP, Vivinet Assessor and Vivinet Diagnostics. Resellers interested in becoming authorized in VoIP Management must meet the following criteria:
- Cisco, Nortel and/or Avaya reseller
- High-end VAR or SI specializing in solutions for VoIP deployment and management
- Consultant providing expertise in VoIP deployment and management
- Maintain a minimum sales volume
