Jeff Hawn
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Jeff Hawn is responsible for defining the company's corporate direction and business strategies.
Jeff's management tenure includes multiple senior-level positions relative to the mainframe software market. Before joining Attachmate, Jeff was an operating partner with JMI Inc. and led the firm's private equity acquisition and operating activities. Prior to his work at JMI, Jeff was senior vice president at BMC Software, where he held several key management positions. Additionally, he has served as a partner at the global consulting firm of McKinsey & Company. Jeff is an active member on several boards.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
Charles Sansbury
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer
Charles Sansbury oversees worldwide finance and operations for the $400 million company. He brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic, financial, and operational leadership to Attachmate.
Prior to joining Attachmate, Charles served as CFO for Vignette Corporation, a publicly-traded provider of enterprise content management software. He also served as Vignette's senior vice president of corporate development, where he was responsible for the company's mergers, acquisitions, and strategic financing initiatives. Before Vignette, Charles was a principal in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley, specializing in the software, professional services, and semiconductor industries.
Charles holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University.
Jay Gardner
President and General Manager, NetIQ Business Unit
Jay Gardner leads the NetIQ Business Unit and is responsible for engineering, product management, marketing, technical support, sales and operational functions as well as the unit's market vision and business strategy. He brings over thirty years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and technology strategy to the organization. Prior to joining Attachmate, Gardner served as a venture advisor for DFJ Mercury. He is also an 18-year BMC Software veteran, where he served in a variety of positions, including vice president and general manager of the BMC On Demand business unit and CIO. Prior to the CIO role, he held a series of sales and worldwide operations positions that supported the company's significant year over year growth.
Mr. Gardner earned his MBA and bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas Christian University.
Bob Flynn
President and General Manager, Host Connectivity Business Unit
An Attachmate executive team member for over 10 years, Bob Flynn oversees the company's host connectivity business unit as general manager, providing daily leadership and operational oversight. Bob also serves as senior vice president of global sales, a role that spans the company's host connectivity and systems and security management business units.
Prior to joining Attachmate, Bob held multiple senior-level positions during his nearly 20-year career at IBM. In his tenure there, Bob contributed to the consulting, business process reengineering, and availability services divisions. His roles included leading global, multi-million-dollar consulting engagements at Fortune 100 companies, directing and redefining key internal processes at IBM, and managing a region-wide, $500 million availability services division.
Bob holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oregon State University.
Roberto (Rob) Reiner
Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering
Rob Reiner is responsible for the technical direction and development of all NetIQ products. Under his direction, NetIQ has adopted a strategic development process in order to maximize adoption, usability and efficiency of NetIQ solutions.
He joined PentaSafe (acquired by NetIQ in 2002) as Vice President of Engineering and was promoted to CTO in 2005. Before joining the team, Rob served in various research and development roles at BMC Software, including Director of Engineering responsible for Patrol and BMC Core infrastructure.
Rob has a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Houston.
Ron Hardy
Vice President of Product Management and Marketing
Ron Hardy is responsible for the overall product strategy, pricing and packaging and future direction of NetIQ products and solutions as well as all their global marketing and promotion through various channels, including global sales teams, web marketing, social media, channel partners industry analysts and the media.
Ron has successfully defined, launched and supported many enterprise software products spanning multiple IT disciplines such as Application, Virtualization, Security, Network, Storage and IT Service Management with companies such as BBN Communications, Sterling Software, Intellitactics and Progress Software.
Ron has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the Hartwick College.
Ron Milton
Vice President of Customer Value Realization
Ron Milton is responsible for leading professional services, technical support, product-line sales engineering, education and training programs as well as online communities at NetIQ. In this capacity, Milton is responsible for programs to ensure customers realize maximum value from NetIQ solutions.
With over 25 years in the technology industry, Ron joined NetIQ from International Data Group (IDG), where he drove operations and strategy for Computerworld, InfoWorld and ITWorld as their executive vice president. He also served as chairman of the board of trustees for the Computerworld IT Awards Foundation. Previously, Ron has also held a variety of Marketing, Sales and Channel Management positions at GLA Computer Systems and Bull HN Information Systems.
Ron holds a graduate diploma for Strategic Marketing Management from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Concordia University.
Bill Koehl
Vice President of North America Sales
Bill Koehl brings over 30 years of sales and technology industry background to NetIQ. Most recently, he was the vice president and general manager of EMEA at BMC Software - responsible for 1,100 employees and revenue of over $600 million. Koehl held a number of sales-focused positions at BMC Software and has a deep understanding of the enterprise software marketplace, the sales process, training and enablement, telesales, sales force automation, partner and channel development and best practices deal strategy. Prior to his career at BMC Software, Koehl also spent time at IBM and Texas Instruments.
Bill holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Syracuse University and executive education diplomas from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Pennsylvania.
Ton Musters
Vice President & General Manager, EMEA
Ton Musters is responsible for all NetIQ and Attachmate activities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. IFor over a decade, Ton has held several management positions focusing on international sales and marketing. His most recent role was general manager for Nordics, Benelux, France, and South Africa. Ton has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked for companies including Xerox, Tandem, and Compaq. Ton holds a bachelor's degree in business economics from the HEAO in The Hague, Netherlands.
Boris Ivancic
General Manager, Asia Pacific
Boris Ivancic has been with Attachmate since 1999 and is responsible for all NetIQ and Attachmate activities in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand, China, India and Singapore. Prior to Attachmate, Boris was the Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand for Lotus Development and also held various sales and channel management roles with Compaq.
Boris holds an electrical engineering degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University).
Edwin Bowman
General Manager, Latin America
Edwin Bowman is responsible for all NetIQ and Attachmate activities in Central and South America. He brings extensive sales and management experience to his role and has been one of the top sales contributors for Attachmate for over 10 years. Prior to joining Attachmate, Edwin was Sales Director for NCR Corporation. Edwin brings a wealth of knowledge on Attachmate's solutions to his role, as well as strong skills working with valued enterprise customers.
Edwin holds an M.B.A. from the University of Cincinnati, and bachelor's degrees in management and finance.
Shinichi Mochioka
General Manager, Japan
Shinichi Mochioka (Mochi) is responsible for NetIQ and Attachmate activities in Japan. In 2004 he joined NetIQ as Regional Director, Japan. Since Attachmate acquired NetIQ in 2006 he has been responsible for both businesses in Japan. Prior to joining NetIQ he worked for several IT Companies such as IBM, Oracle, SAP and Compuware.
Mochi holds a a Bachelor of Economics in business administration from the University of Tokyo.
