Jeff Hawn
Chairman, President, and CEO
As chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Attachmate, Jeff Hawn is responsible for identifying the company's corporate direction and business strategies.
Jeff's management tenure includes multiple senior-level positions relative to the mainframe software market. Before joining Attachmate, Jeff was an operating partner with JMI Inc. and led the firm's private equity acquisition and operating activities. Prior to his work at JMI, Jeff was senior vice president at BMC Software, where he held several key management positions. Additionally, he has served as a partner at the global consulting firm of McKinsey & Company. Jeff is an active member on several boards, including Pervasive Software and Vignette.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University, and a master of business administration degree from the University of Texas.
Charles Sansbury
Chief Financial Officer
Charles Sansbury is Attachmate's chief financial officer, overseeing worldwide finance and operations for the $400 million company. He brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic, financial, and operational leadership to Attachmate.
Prior to joining Attachmate, Charles served as CFO for Vignette Corporation, a publicly-traded provider of enterprise content management software. He also served as Vignette's senior vice president of corporate development, where he was responsible for the company's mergers, acquisitions, and strategic financing initiatives. Before Vignette, Charles was a principal in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley, specializing in the software, professional services, and semiconductor industries.
Charles holds a master of business administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University.
Logan Wray
General Manager and Senior Vice President, NetIQ Business Unit
Logan Wray, a member of our senior management team since 2005, leads the NetIQ business unit as the General Manager and Senior Vice President. He is responsible for all development, product management, marketing, technical support, sales and operational functions.
Prior to joining Attachmate, Logan was Chief Operating Officer for Motive, Inc., where he had responsibility for all customer-facing operations, including sales and service. He served as the Chief Financial Officer for Sterling Software from 1997 until its sale to Computer Associates in 2000. Having begun his career with Arthur Young in 1981, he became a partner with Ernst & Young, working with large technology companies in the Southwestern U.S., including DSC Communications, i2 and Datapoint.
Logan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce from the University of Virginia.
Bob Flynn
General Manager and Senior Vice President, Host Connectivity Business Unit
An Attachmate executive team member for over 10 years, Bob Flynn oversees the company's host connectivity business unit as general manager, providing daily leadership and operational oversight. Bob also serves as senior vice president of global sales, a role that spans the company's host connectivity and systems and security management business units.
Prior to joining Attachmate, Bob held multiple senior-level positions during his nearly 20-year career at IBM. In his tenure there, Bob contributed to the consulting, business process reengineering, and availability services divisions. His roles included leading global, multi-million-dollar consulting engagements at Fortune 100 companies, directing and redefining key internal processes at IBM, and managing a region-wide, $500 million availability services division.
Bob holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oregon State University.
Thomas W. Hull
Vice President, Attachmate and NetIQ North America Sales
A seasoned sales executive, Tom Hull leads North American sales efforts for Attachmate and NetIQ as vice president. In this role, Tom guides the direct sales force, field technical resources, and the company's relationships with channel partners, overseeing selling activities for approximately 200 employees within Attachmate's sales organizations.
Since joining the company in 2003, Tom has served in various executive roles, including vice president of worldwide sales for WRQ prior to its 2006 merger with Attachmate. Tom also served as vice president of sales for GoAhead Software, Inc., where he managed sales, business development, and client service organizations. He has held sales management positions at several companies, including IBM Corporation, RealNetworks, and Sequent Computer Systems.
Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree in government from Dartmouth College.
Roberto (Rob) Reiner
Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering, NetIQ Business Unit
Rob Reiner is the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering for NetIQ and has been a part of the team since 2001. Rob is responsible for the technical direction and development of NetIQ Performance, Security and Administration products. Under his direction, NetIQ has adopted a strategic development process in order to maximize adoption, usability and efficiency of NetIQ solutions.
Before joining the team, Rob spent six years at BMC Software in various research and development roles, including Director of Engineering responsible for Patrol and BMC Core infrastructure. He joined PentaSafe as Vice President of Engineering; when NetIQ acquired PentaSafe, Rob continued as Vice President of the Security product line and was promoted to CTO in 2005.
Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Houston.
Mike Steinmetz
Vice President of Worldwide Services and Support, NetIQ Business Unit
As the Vice President of Worldwide Services and Support for NetIQ, Mike Steinmetz is responsible for ensuring that customer satisfaction and post-sale support goals are met worldwide. This also includes overseeing maintenance renewals, professional services and technical support worldwide.
Mike joined NetIQ in 2004 and prior to that worked at BMC Software, where he held many positions including Manager, Professional Services; Technical Services Director; Business Unit Field Director for the Scheduling and Output Management business units (European assignment); and Manager, Global Sales Support. Before joining BMC, Mike was a Manager at New Dimension, responsible for the day-to-day operations across the Northeast territory, and a Vice President of Technology at Composit Communications, responsible for supporting the growth and development of the IT department.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and English from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
